And then it was fall… 

BUT FIRST!! 

Come hang out with your Murray Lake neighbors at the MLA  sponsored 

Flotilla Party! 

Bring your boat to the southwest end of the lake and tie up for  music, food*, and good company! 

Denny Middleton will be playing music from Terry Conley’s lawn  as the flotilla of boats enjoys a beautiful summer afternoon on  Murray Lake. A dinghy will be available to assist with mooring. A Port-a-Potty will be available. Please bring some cash if you  wish to tip the band and/or the dinghy driver.

*Hot dogs and chips provided all other food and drinks are your own responsibility

Where: Southwest end of the lake in  

front of Terry’s house  

When: Saturday, August 23rd 

Time: 1pm – 4pm Bring your anchor, boat fenders, and dock ropes! Mooring assistance will be available

Another hand well played – 2025 Poker Run Success!!

We had close to 60 groups play their hand at poker, drink from a  luge, try their aim at a dunk tank and see who could milk the  cow the fastest. 
This event continues to bring Murray Lake residents together  for an afternoon of fun…..and big winnings. The 50/50 raffle  went for over $750!! Others left with baskets of goodies and gift  certificates. As in many fun events it takes many volunteers to  make it happen. We would like to thank the following:

Upcoming Events 

*******CROOKED MURRAY GOLF OUTING******* Here are the details for the golf outing which is fast approaching! 

We will be teaming up to take on our neighboring Big Crooked lake in a scramble format  competition! 

**** Date: Saturday, Sept 20, 9am shotgun start 

**** Where: The Links at Bowen Lake, Gown, MI 

**** Cost: $80/person which includes greens fees, cart, and a taco bar lunch following  the event, and prizes. 

**** Registration ends Sept 1, entry fees due Sept 7 ** 

All skill levels WELCOME!   

We have the following teams registered for Murray Lake so far and will take as many teams  as we can get signed up. We will use the team scores from the top 5 to 6 teams from each  Lake for the competition and the rights to the coveted trophy…. bragging rights. Emmert – 4 people

Fall Color Paddle 

Kayak or canoe around the lake to enjoy the fall foliage on October 11th.  There will be a couple of stops along the way to rest with snacks. More  details to come. 

Octoberfest 

Come enjoy some food, friends and fun October 23rd between 5:00 and  9:00 at Smyrna Tavern with special Octoberfest Menu and music from  Rudy Tegethoff and his accordion! Music from 6:00 until 8:00 This is a  private event for our MLA Members. 

Halloween Haunting  

Watch for more information on a kids’ event on Halloween 

Save January 24th for our “Souperbowl” Event.
